Admin Guide

Everything you need to manage your Seedling workspace.

Initial Setup

Install Seedling to your Slack workspace:

    Go to the home page
  2. 2
    Click Add to Slack
  3. 3
    Authorize the app for your workspace
  4. 4
    You become the first Admin automatically

Managing Members

  • Go to /dashboard/members
  • View all workspace members
  • Change roles: Admin / PM / Member
  • Users auto-register on first Slack interaction

Roles

Admin

Full access: members, settings, analytics, votes, shop

PM

Can create feature votes with /seed vote

Member

Give seeds, vote, redeem in shop

Settings

Configure at /dashboard/settings

DAILY_SEED_LIMITSeeds per user per day (default: 5)
NOTIFY_CHANNELPost when seeds are given
NOTIFY_DMDM recipient when receiving seeds
CONSUME_SEEDSDeduct seeds when voting
ANONYMOUS_DEFAULTDefault votes to anonymous

Market Resolution

Resolve predictions at /dashboard/votes

Pay Longs

Select when a feature officially launches.

DROP

Pay Shorts

Select when a feature is cancelled.

DELAY

Refund All

Return all bets to users.

GitHub Integration

Award seeds automatically for engineering contributions:

    Go to /dashboard/settings/github
  2. 2
    Add your repository (e.g., owner/repo)
  3. 3
    Copy the Webhook Secret from the card
  4. 4
    In GitHub Repo Settings → Webhooks, add the URL and Secret
Rewards Logic:
  • PR Merged: +2 Seeds
  • Code Review: +1 Seed
  • PR Approved: +1 Seed

Weekly Digest

Automated summary sent to Slack every Monday at 9am:

  • Total seeds planted & active users
  • Top 5 Givers & Receivers
  • Active feature votes

Configure in Settings. You can also send a test preview to yourself.

Identify team members who contribute silently. Go to /dashboard/admin/heroes.

Reviewers

People who review code but rarely merge PRs.

Supporters

People who give many seeds but receive few.
